As I sat sipping my coffee and perusing the Sunday morning dumpster fire that is the news these days, I was reading an article in The Gateway Pundit describing how 2 Michigan Republican activists- Dr. Linda Lee Tarver, and Angelic Johnson- have had a lawsuit filed on their behalf by The Amistad Project against Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson for giving out the private information of Michigan residents. This information includes social security numbers, birth dates, home addresses, and eye color, and was was given to Rock the Vote, a left-wing, progressive voter registration group. Pretty scary, as this is a serious violation of our 4th Amendment rights and the privacy of American citizens.
As I read further, a list of individuals who head up Rock the Vote was revealed, along with
some of their professional credentials, and then a name jumped off the page: Stephanie Shaw. The article lists her as the Director of Corporate Partnerships overseeing Rock
the Vote’s “Democracy Day Initiative.” Here’s where it gets terrifying: “Shaw formerly worked as the Corporate Affairs Manager at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and has worked with Freedom for Immigrants, the New Leaders Council, and the ACLU.” So, let’s look a little closer at Stephanie Shaw’s work history at PETA:
• 2012-She was instrumental in ending the partnership between Mattel and Sea World in producing the Sea World Trainer Barbie.
• Link to Rock the Vote, and her About info.
It appears that Stephanie Shaw sought out businesses and corporations that partner, work with, or own animals and animal attractions, entertainment, or any entity that utilizes animals, and turned them over to PETA for persecution.
This is bad. Really, really bad.
In a nutshell, the Michigan Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson, has just given access to the social security numbers and personal addresses of every private animal breeder, attraction, and zoo (and their employees, family, and friends) in the state of Michigan to PETA. What do you think they will do with that information? Nothing good for animal owners, I assure you.
Animal Rights extremists frequently infiltrate government agencies. Perfect examples of this are Lois Lerner, former IRS Director and Animal Rights team member for the Humane Society of the U.S. (HSUS). She actively prevented an investigation into alleged excessive lobbying by the HSUS which, if found accurate, would have removed the 501 C 3 tax exempt status enjoyed by them, and incurred millions of dollars in back taxes. Then there was Sarah L. Conant, former USDA Director of Regulatory Enforcement at USDA/APHIS who came directly from HSUS as a litigation attorney. Under her watch, licensees faced excessive and undue fines, litigation, and jail time for minor infractions. There are many more Animal Rights operatives scattered among the legions of bureaucracy in DC and beyond.
HSUS frequently partners with Democrat Party candidates and legislators, endorsing them and donating heavily to their campaigns. The Humane Society Legislative Fund provides an Annual Scorecard to rate how “friendly” legislators all over the US are to Animal Rights-based initiatives, and from this Scorecard we can infer the level to which they are owned by the Animal Rights movement. This partnership resulted in approximately 97% of over 350 pieces of HSUS-backed state legislation introduced during the 2020 legislative session filed by Democrats. What makes this type of legislation so insidious is that while it seems warm and fuzzy, promoting the care of animals, what it really does is force animal owners to make a choice- give up their Constitutional rights to private property, due process, no excessive fines and no civil asset forfeiture in order to enjoy the “privilege” of animal ownership (itself a Constitutional right). What does it say about a political party that pushes the demotion of a RIGHT to no more than a PRIVILEGE, and then requires that we give up multiple rights in order to enjoy that privilege?
Animal rights groups use the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) which was created to deliver transparency of government, not the American citizen, to gain the private information of USDA licensees. Animal Rights extremists have also infiltrated the USDA (and other government agencies) to gain access to private information of licensees to target breeders and dox them; this information has been recently used to create an interactive map that shows exactly where all the licensed breeders can be found around the country.
We know that all the animal rights groups work together, sharing funding and information. But now we know that the Democrat Party, through their Rock the Vote program has teamed up with PETA to gain access to the social security numbers and home addresses of Michiganders and is now capable of finding hobby and show breeders and small-scale home enterprises that aren’t required to be licensed to target for harassment. Social security numbers give them access to bank accounts, place of employment records, credit reports, basically, their entire lives are exposed to these radical groups, giving them a location to vandalize, picket, harass, and terrorize.
We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Animal Rights organizations have absolutely no regard for human safety, the Constitution, or human rights, but we now know, officially, that the Democrat Party is in alignment with the Animal Rights ideology of removing animals from human contact and ownership at any cost. That says a lot about the goals and agenda of the Democrat Party.
As the curtain is pulled aside under President Trump’s Administration, we are finding more and more corruption in all the dark and shadowy corners of the DC Swamp. Discovering that PETA is part and parcel of that corrupt swamp is no revelation to those of us who have been fighting the Animal Rights Movement for years. But for those who have thought that PETA is just a kooky pack of animal lovers that do crazy stunts to gain attention, nothing could be further from the truth. The goal of Animal Rights is to remove animals from human contact forever. Fur, food, fiber, pets, entertainment, exhibition (zoos, parks, interactive animal exhibits), science, and work. This includes species preservation.
I can’t think of a single good reason for the Democrat Party to team up with the Animal Rights movement.
This is a developing story, and we will update as this progresses. We encourage you to contact your Michigan Representatives and Senators with your concerns about this matter.
